What existing surface do I need for a Resin Bound Surface
As with most construction materials, the end product is only as good as the base…!
This of course goes for painting, plastering, building works and of course Resin Bound Surfacing.
We require a robust surface to lay on. This is essential to provide the longevity that both you the customer and us at Styleseal require. If you have a ‘tired’ looking tarmac, block paved or concrete driveway, path or patio, then you are potentially in a good position to receive a resin surface overlay with little and non-invasive preparatory works.
A no obligation survey, or often mailed photographs will initially assess the condition of the existing surface to check the potential for overlay suitability.
However, we are of course always happy to introduce the suitable base layers required to receive your new surface should not have an existing surface suitable.
Should you be considering a pathway or patio then the existing surface need not be quite as robust or expansive as for a driveway for instance. Simply because of the point loading due to vehicles vs pedestrians.
Often in fact, we can overlay a patio area that has old and discoloured slabs to provide a beautiful new look. View our gallery for some of our stunning examples.
